Leeds based civil engineering firm, Connaught, founded in 2009 are celebrating their twelfth year in business and during those twelve years have had the pleasure of working on many different projects with some of the UK’s finest developers.

Construction within the residential sector remains strong. A report from Housing Today details that the government is expected to spend £11.5bn on a five-year housing initiative between 2021 and 2026. The scheme is set to consist of half of the new homes being made available for ownership, with the rest for affordable and social rent – including 10% for supported housing.
Despite the challenges faced during the pandemic, private residential developers also remain extremely optimistic. NHBC Chief Executive, Steve Wood has this to say, “Against the backdrop of covid-19, the new built housing has held up very well, with housebuilders showing resilience and adaptability throughout.”
Connaught has also demonstrated such resilience and adaptability with sites now spanning most of Yorkshire. This recent expansion has also meant larger office space to cater for additional Management & Administrative staff. Connaught continue to seek further opportunities with all major developers and look forward to their continued growth.
